About Us

I believe in Theta Chi, its traditions and its ideals. Born of sturdy manhood, nurtured by resolute men, ennobled by high and sacred purpose, it has taken its place among the educational institutions of America as a promoter of knowledge, an advancer of culture, and a builder of character.

It inspires true friendship; teaches Truth, Temperance, and Tolerance, extols virtue, exacts harmony, and extends a helping hand to all who seek it.

I believe in the primacy of Alma Mater; in the usefulness of my Fraternity, in its influence and its accomplishments and I shall do all in my power to perpetuate its ideals, thereby serving my God, my country, and my fellow-man.

By Frank Schrenk, Kappa '15

Theta Chi is an international, social fraternity. We have over 160,000 members globally, representing 131 chapters at educational institutions across the United States and Canada. While our focus may be described in numerous ways, we exist fundamentally to support our members and promote in them the qualities of true gentlemen. We follow the maxim of "alma mater first, and Theta Chi for alma mater," to ensure that membership in no way conflicts with obligations to school. Each year we host numerous campus-wide social events, complete significant philanthropic and community service work, and seek to enjoy our college experience, all in the context of being better students, better leaders, better friends, and better men.
